Resume Document Letter

A resume document letter is a resume which has been written in the form of a letter. It is a more informal way of submitting information about one’s skills, qualifications and experience so that the employer knows more about the applicant. Like a normal resume, the resume document letter must systematically give certain information like personal details and contact information, objective and career goals, achievements and recognition, areas of expertise, work experience and a basic idea of the educational qualifications. Since the letter is addressed to the head of the organization or the HR, make sure there are no spelling or grammatical errors as that creates a bad impression.

Subject: Application for a job as management executive

Dear Mr Canning,

With reference to our conversation about a job offer, I would like to give you a brief summary of my qualifications and work experience. I have been working as a sales manager in Quality Agency for 3 years and I am looking for more challenges so that I can spread my wings and learn new skills. Before that I was a senior sales executive at Riverside Enterprises for 2 and a half years.

My area of expertise in communications but I can use my communication and networking skills for other fields too. I am very organized and a good motivator and like working in a team.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Yours truly,

James Lawson
