Medical policy document involves official documentation of an organization’s policies involving medical services. It serves as a guidebook both for the company offering the said medical services and the person availing them and can be referred to when there is a need to resolve discrepancies between the customer and the service provider.

Medical Policies:

  • The patients would have to fill the admission form in the most honest possible way and to the best of their knowledge prior to their registration in the hospital.
  • The patient party would have to make the necessary advance payments before the admission of the patient.
  • The hospital authority would not be held responsible or liable due to any deterioration in the medical condition of the patient during his or her treatment in the hospital.
  • The patient party must obey all the rules and regulations of the hospital and must pledge to strictly abide by the do’s and don’ts prescribed by the doctor.
  • The patient party would be allowed to meet the patient in the visiting hours only.
  • The patient party must in no circumstances feed the patient with any externally bought food without the permission of the doctor.
  • The hospital authority cannot be held responsible for any mistreatments done by doctors who have been brought as a reference from the patient party.
  • In case of accidents or emergency, the hospital authority must, in no circumstances, deny admission to patients on any grounds whatsoever.
  • In case of accidents or emergency, the hospital authority must treat the patient first and take care of formalities like payment or form fill up later only when the patient is stable.
  • The hospital authority is responsible and legally liable for any kinds of wrongful treatment done by their own appointed staffs and the patient party has all the rights to sue them in such circumstances.
