Data Specification Document

A data specification document is used to lay down the definition of data. It is very important to have certain data specification standards which can be applied to make sure that data definition is consistent and of high quality. By high-quality we mean that data specification benchmarks that include the creative use of data, ensure that they are managed and prescribed by data stewards, and offer clarity so that compliance can be analyzed. The data specification document must include use of common domain and class words; they must describe data presentation standards and must also have common use of data types. These data specification standards must be used while addressing different issues recognized during the data quality assessment.
